I am on H1-B, i-485 is not filed yet, and i may have to take a job in different state, will i have to file change of address form? are there any other forms. thanks in advance

First of all, I am surprised to know that you have "lost" such an important paper. Keep your legal documents in good safe place, as your future stay in U.S. depends upon these.
Talk to the Student Coordinator of your university. He will be able to give you a copy.

Friends,
I have a scheduled EAD FP (e-filed) next Monday in the Dallas Area.
My 485 FPs have not yet come and my dates are current. I am planning to ask the ASC Officer if they can take my 485 FPs also. I know some people had success with this method.
However, my situation is a little different,
I do not have my 485 Receipt (Lost in mail and returned as undeliverable :( ). I have opened numerous SRs and have those notices. What can I take to the ASC ??

As the Visa Dates are current, I want to file my 485 on July1st. Can I file the 485 for my wife and son at a later date(because they are travelling to india on june 16th and will be back on September 1st) or Is it a must that all of three(myself,wife,son) should file for 485 at the same time.
Can I add their names to my 485 later.?

My friend approved PERM in EB2 have qualification 3 year B.SC + 1 Year B.Ed + 2 year MSc. total 6 years of college, filed I-140 and was denied because of education. The labor is for Masters with 0-1 year experience. But they want 4 year degree prior to masters, citing EDGE database. Now the appeal is with AAO.
My question:
1. Do he can apply with the same labor for EB3 ?. What is the chance with two I-140 with same labor ?
( He filed I-140 for EB2 with that labor before 6 months of PERM certification. The PERM certified on April 2009 )
2. Or he need to do a fresh PERM with EB3 as a backup till the AAO verdict ? (takes 22 months)

I recently got my H1 3 yr extension based on I-140 approval, I want to change my job to company B but my employer Company A says that he will have to revoke the I-140(as per company attorneys), Will this affect my H1 extension(as in will I be out of status?) and can I retain my PD?
Also does anyone know a good lawyer I can consult over the phone?

Since your child turned 21 even before you submitted your I-140, the answer is NO, you cannot submit I-485 for him as he is not covered by Child Status Protection Act, CSPA.

Hi,
The I-485 case of mine, my wife and son was approved on Aug 5 2010. My case is EB2 and priority date is Jan 2006. When I enquired USCIS 2 weeks back on not receiving the physical cards for us yet, we got a reply mail for all of us that USCIS is waiting for our biometrics. Why is a biometrics needed after I-485 is approved? Me and my wife gave our biometrics last September only.
We are not sure when we will receive our biometrics notice and how long will it take to get our physical cards after that? Please guide me on this.

I had applied on July 19th to Nebraska. My I-140 was approved from TX.
Today I received transfer notice WAC...., mentioning that they have transferred my case to TX Service center.
The receipt date is of Sep 14th, Notice date of Sep 17th'2007.
Does it mean I lost the original filing receipt date of July 20th'2007.

I think u can as long as prior employer does not revoke i140, please consult a good attorney

Labor approved(eb3 with pd of July 03),
I140 in process,
In my seventh year of H1b on a one year extension expiring in August.
Please advise if I can change employers now and still get a new H1 though I am in my seventh year ?
